Opportunity to Comment on Environmental Justice Issues in NC

Gov. Cooper appointed the Andrea Harris Task Force to address the social, environmental, economic, and health disparities in communities of color disproportionally impacted by COVID-19. The Environmental Justice and Inclusion Subcommittee will host a listening session on Thursday, February 24 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. to hear comments from the public on priorities for addressing environmental justice concerns across the state. Listening session topics range from inequities in housing to overall impact of COVID-19 in North Carolina communities.

Attend the monthly meeting of Durham Congregations In Action (DCIA) and relay opportunities to 2500 Hours of Love. Contact Rev. Cayer to represent ERUUF’s presence at the monthly meeting on the third Tuesday of the month from 11:45am – 1pm. Learn more about DCIA.

Attend the monthly planning meeting of End Poverty in Durham. Represent ERUUF at this meeting which occurs on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 9 am at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3639 Old Chapel Hill Road, Durham. Contact Rev. Mel Williams here to let them know you are coming.
